Food. I have such a hard time not indulging in it.

We, did, they were pushed to the side. Those rules and protections were building more reservoirs, keeping those and the current ones full of water, continuous upkeep on fire hydrants, rehiring firefighters who were fired for not taking the vax, regular controlled burns, clearing out the undergrowth, not dumping water into the ocean after rainfall… So, so many that were completely abandoned.
You seem to think the prices for fire protection came out of nowhere, but they don’t. As these precautions were abandoned one by one, fire insurance went up, because the likelihood of a fire grew exponentially. When government put a cap on price, that effectively made it clear that the company would go bankrupt, completely, because they knew a fire was going to happen eventually.
We should be mad that those very protections put in place to help people were taken away by the government, not the companies.
Critical thinking
Just hitch a ride up to it, it’ll be easier that way.
I honestly think there are definitely, if not bots, agents/feds that come on here and really push to radicalize people.
As someone who is generally pro-America, pro- capitalism and pro-liberalism (as in, classical, not today’s fucked version), it’s really interesting to converse with people who are just as crazy as the “God is King” types, just flipped on the modern versions of conspiracies and bad takes.
I’m sorry, are we just skipping over the regulations that caused these companies to pull out? Most of these homes would still be covered. They’d be paying a higher price, but they’d be covered.
When you put a legal cap on costs, the company will pull out.
Private emergency services are always a thing, which is why defunding emergency services is always a bad idea -yes, even cops - because the people in charge can usually pay for their own. They don’t GAF when you’re no longer safe, because they can be.
Not sure what people expected. They were copying a book series that was unfinished. Most of the writing and dialogue were pulled straight from the books. The series got bad when there was nothing left to follow.
States can and did run their own school system, and I’m sorry to spoil your spoil, but lots of kids churning out of the system today can’t read. The numbers are staggering.
No, but to pretend the choices are one or the other is ridiculous.
Tbf, learning has taken a nose dive while under the Department of ED. It’s… Really, really bad.
To self-study for the FE exam. It’s what freshly-graduated engineering students have to take to officially be “in-training” as an engineer.
Welp, I do not have a bachelors degree in engineering, but I’m coming up on 3 years of working in the field as a designer and next year I can also take the exam. So, I’m going to spend the next year teaching myself everything I’ll need to know.
What’s broken about Sync? I use it all the time with no issues.
Oh, most of them.
Spend the few thousand I have saved up, take a first-class flight to Portugal and spend the day hiking the mountains and then swimming in the ocean.
I started seeing this guy in my friend group, and then I heard from someone else he’d started seeing another girl in our friend group. When I questioned him about it he got this stupid grin on his face and made a comment about the two of us fighting over him. I said: " I’m not fighting over you," and stopped dating him.
That’s as close as I ever got.
When I was young I had the bright idea to take a copyrighted, published book and only change the names of the characters to an anime I liked and post it up on fanfiction.net. Totally knew what plagiarism was then. Didn’t think I’d get caught.
No idea why I thought that, either… People who like reading books also like reading fanfiction. Up until then I’d had a small following, so it was traumatic when all those people immediately - and very rightly so - got mad at me. My whole ffn account got wiped clean.
However, that was back when doxxing wasn’t really a big thing and everyone was satisfied with my account being wiped. No one tried to hunt me down or call my school or whatever. I just sulked around the house a lot and then made a new account with only my original fanfiction writing. I can’t imagine what it’d be like trying to do that today, even if I was young like I was back then.
What a ridiculous article. Trump’s not even in office yet.
And I’m sorry, but groceries have gone up the last 4 years, and idc what any graph tells me, it doesn’t matter if I’m still paying the same high amount for groceries. No idea how the data is laid out or what data was included, but reality is what I hand over to buy the food I need to survive. And it’s too damn high.
