The Eurovision 2025 playlist is out! It’s a good time listening ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest, then you get to root for the song you like best. If you’ve never got into it, it’s a good time to give it a listen.

If a group of parents coordinated wearing “All Lives Matter (but Black Lives Matter Less)” wristbands to protest inclusion of a black athlete, sure.

I don’t know if it’s the circles I’m around or what, but this is not my experience at all. As someone with a nonverbal autistic loved one who was bullied with this slur, I disagree with the idea that it doesn’t cause harm to continue to use it. If someone uses it I ask that they don’t use it around me and that’s been respected. Language evolves over time, and we need to evolve away from using what was relatively recently a medical diagnosis as an insult.

It’s because he needs the childcare for his girlfriend. She’s not old enough to be home alone.

A measured response. Personally, I think that a lot of pubs are going to pivot that direction- Gen Z aren’t big drinkers, and if the trend continues they’ll need other sources of revenue than alcohol.

I’m a fan of mindfulness and gratitude practice. Also, physical exercise! Nothing like working up a good sweat when I’m mad at myself to feel better after.

Where I’m at, family can supercede a DNR. The rate of OHCA survival is so low anyway that it usually doesn’t make a difference. Emotions are so high and so raw, even when it’s an expected death, that I don’t blame anyone for anything done or said at that time. It’s been rare that I’ve seen it done- the most common reason for not following a DNR is that no one can find it. Second most is it was filled out incorrectly or not the actual official document.

You’re not wrong. The parents chose not to vaccinate, and vaccines almost certainly would have prevented this outcome. Where I’m struggling is the “serves them right” attitude when it wasn’t the parents who paid for their mistake- it was a small child with no say in the matter. It’s possible to feel anger towards the parents (though it doesn’t change anything at this point) and still have empathy for the actual victim.

Have you seen them violated often?
