Ocarina of Time PC port. Free can is such a game changer
webfishing with some online friends :)
After finishing Citizen Sleeper, I’ve been trying again to get into Ys IX: Monstrum Nox. I’m still struggling, and it’s kinda bewildering. I’ve been an Ys fan since I was little and this is the first time I haven’t been able to get into one of them. I’m happy when I’m in a dungeon. Otherwise, I can’t get on with the story and cast (like Ys VIII, it’s a heavier focus here).
A friend suggested I continue on with Horizon, so I’ll probably pick up The Frozen Wilds this week, too.
Stardew Valley and Ys origin.
With Stardew, It started on mobile, grew with an old Bluetooth xbone controller for combat, moved on to PC for the mods, and am now learning modding to add some things I missed from the mobile version 😁
Ys origin for when I want a break from Stardew. Simple demon bashing is quite therapeutic.
Ys Origin is one of my favorite games. :)
I think it might be my favourite of the Ys series, to be honest. So simple and fun.
My favorite is Ys 1, but Ys Origin is a close second.
I started a new game with .6 updates. Lots of cool little things he added. I don’t even need mods for awhile. But the smart containers is kindof a must have mod imo
Half Life 2 VR mod after finishing Alyx. Alyx itself was a fantastic VR experience, but the hype is such that I probably don’t need to explain it.
I’ve been playing Dead Space remake on PS5 since it was free last month. Still haven’t beaten it yet as I’ve had very little time. Been loving it though. Just hope I finish by the time the Christmas season starts in earnest haha. Kind of conflicting vibes.
Been wanting to play this soooo bad.
Definitely pickong it up after Ys.
The remake is soo good. They really nailed it. Kept the good bits and updated the bad. They even fixed the asteroids turret section, it’s actually really fun in the remake.
I picked up darkest dungeon and all of the expansions for real cheap, really like the artwork in that game
The artwork is cool. But the game itself is too difficult for me.
I haven’t played it, but my wife thought it was too difficult, also.
However, I was talking to a coworker and he mentioned that one of the DLCs really ramped up the difficulty, so she should try it without that particular DLC (sorry, I don’t recall which one).
Anyway, she turned off that DLC and found it much more playable. In fact, I’m pretty sure she went on to finish it.
So if you’re keen to give it another go, you might try it without whichever DLC it is that makes it harder.
Crimson Curse was always the one that gave me trouble.
But I also modded the game to make it a bit easier on myself!
Thanks. Im apparently a wimp though and don’t even have any DLCs for it lol
I’m fairly sure when you load it up with that dlc active, it warns you that it will be significantly more difficult.
I’m just wrapping up my first playthrough of Fallout 3. I’m not “done” but I finished the main storyline and am starting to lose steam with side quests and DLC. So I may wind up putting it down soon.
But I really enjoyed it. I’ll probably play something else for a while, then give New Vegas a try.
I’ve been having a lot is f fun with Green Hell, which was on sale recently. It has a surprisingly good story for a survival game that gets better the further along the game.
There’s one very annoying bug though. If you save, harvest something, die and reload, the resource does not respawn. This can really screw you over if you get an infection, you find and harvest some medicinal plant and then still die because it took you too long to find. Because when you reload, the plant you finally found is gone and now you need to find another, even further away!
I gave Darkest Dungeon a try yesterday and it’s been a lot of fun. I love the whole premise of “getting the best of a bad situation” and learning to pass on with any mistakes and misfortune. Dealing with your inner perfectionist is a valuable skill and this game teaches you just that.
Started a new character on one of my favorites Dark Souls 3. I just prefer these style FromSoft games than full on open world like Elden Ring. I still like Elden Ring but open world is not my favorite like so many other people seem to like.
I’m undecided. I’d consider Dark Souls III, Elden Ring, and Sekiro to be my 3 favourite games ever and I have no idea what order I’d put them in. I love both the open world and linear worlds
Nice yea I love FromSoft ever since the original Demon’s Souls
Thank you for making it biweekly!
No problem! If we’ve still got lots of activity for a few of these posts I’ll try weekly

Trying to finish Hades epilogue, it’s pretty grindy tbh. Afterward might be Factorio space age.
My spouse and I started Terraria on a whim. After going in blind and thoroughly getting out butts kicked the first night, we found the wiki, started a new game, and have survived a few nights now.
We’re trying to avoid spoilers, so only read the tutorial and getting started pages of the wiki. The mechanics on xbox aren’t always intuitive, and building is especially painful so far.
Terraria is one of my favorite games ever! I’ve been playing it since 2011.
In case you missed them, the guide has some extremely helpful dialogue options. At least on PC. I can’t imagine they’d leave that out of the Xbox version.
Thanks, I’ll look for it
