Being German means coming from a country that didn’t even exist before 1871 and formed out of many cultures and small realms. Germany is and most of the time was a country of many different people, a country of migration and immigration and that’s what made us strong!

Fuck Nazis and fuck Musk and the right-wing parties!

A country that didn’t truly exist in its current form until 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell and two differently-governed landmasses were joined again, and unified Democratic governance began. (Counting territory, governance, name, culture as the usual delineations of what makes a nation.)

Deutschland is a Millennial. The heritage: avocado schnitzel.

The identity of German and German nationalism are older than 1871. German nationalism started around 1770, but even before that the HRE ruled mostly over German speaking people and created some shared identity.
