All prices in NZD. Highest priced air cooled card, the Asus ROG Astral, is $6299 and the Asus ROG AIO is $6599.
Even after stripping out the 15% sales tax the lowest priced card is still USD 2655.
Hungarian 5090 prices.
I just want a cheap 060 card with a decent amount of VRAM but I can’t in case somebody trains a fuckbot on it.
Ehhh. Whatever. It’s like steam sales these days. Just wait. I have a 30 series card that is still going very strong. Hoping for an AMD or Intel higher end card in a gen or two.
Better release a bunch of articles about how Chinese AI is scary so we can keep video card prices high because our bosses invested our retirement fund into NVIDEA
Prices like this and a crappy 5080 are going to make my 4090 go up in price
Meh; I’m happy with my 4090. Got lucky enough to score one on a discount on launch day. It’s going to last me well into the 2030s.
I tried getting a 5080 yesterday, obv missed out.
Then i tried to get either a 4080 super or a 4090, which seemingly everyone else did too as they all sold out.
My 3070 isn’t cutting it anymore for me, i might just get a 7900 xtx or something as those are still available.
I believe nvidia said there will be low 5090 stock for 2 weeks. Can’t explain the other cards tho.
Scalpers i guess.
I’m happy with my RX 6800 that I bought at scalper prices because I wanted to build a hackintosh 🙃 I hope it serves me well for another 5-10 years.
I heard that MicroCenter had less than 300 5090’s for the entirety of the USA. Nvidia has taken the nintendo approach to controlling how much hardware they release.
When did they even come out?
Just today (or yesterday depending on time zone).
Like a week ago
Welcome to fucking around with global markets and the effects of AI on GPU pricing.
Indent see any point in buying this unless you’re aCG artist for movies or you have a 1070ti
My 3070 isn’t cutting it anymore.
Most games gobble up that 8gb like it’s nothing.
I have a 3060 12gb. It’s still good. My next card will be AMD though I think. GeForce experience is killing me
I’m contemplating getting a 7900xtx as it’s far more affordable, but apparently nvidia is also the better option for rendering and other tasks i use my pc for.
What is up with the dollar in NZ and AU? Are we doing okay?
We have some truly terrible trade agreements.
The brand new top of the line flagship tech product is expensive!?!
