He has a platform previous cults did not, and has captured a political party to use for recruitment. It has become apparent that at some point the media and the country need to start treating his cult as such, and we need to figure out how to “rescue” millions of people that would do anything for their cult leader because they have broken all tethers to reality. Putting the cult leader in jail is not going to bring these people back, and is going to require mental health resources on a scale the US (and the world) has never had to deal with before. This is going to have repercussions for generations.

Either PBS or NPR had a thing a few years back where they’d read sections of the Bill of Right on air, as part of Independence Day celebrations.
