You are ripping: right to the trash. You are having moth holes: right to the trash can, right away. Sock legs too loose: trash. Tight: trash. They get that way where the threads inside tangle up with the toes: you right to the trash. Sock has no padding? Believe it or not, trash. Sock has too much padding, also trash. Not padded, over-padded. Sock was part of a unique set and the other is gone, believe it or not, trash, right away. I have the best sock drawer in the world because of trash.
