This is exactly what happened with my mom trying to buy a Christmas gift for my nephew. She knew he had an Xbox but had no clue which version it was so she didn’t know which version of a game to get. I used to have this exact issue with what was essentially porn on Instagram reels (Meta is evil yeah I know but it’s better than shorts and tiktok). I’d report those e-thots videos but it kept showing them because it considered it engagement. Eventually I got the algorithm to show me what I’m actually there for, memes, funny cat videos and the occasional car videos.

Just scrolling past them quickly eventually got it to stop.

Correct, which is why handling local ballots locally helps lower volume at the sorting facilities and hopefully allowing them to get to their destination town on time.

Election mail is supposed to be handled locally, especially when it gets closer to the election. We separate the ballots and bypass the sorting facilities and bring them to the local town hall/voting location. This was the usual process for the last 2 offices and presidential elections I worked through for this very reason, especially when DeJoy shut down sorting machines.

The delays are still a concern for many reasons, but as long as local post offices handle ballot delivery locally it would help minimize late ballots.

That being said, what do I know? I’m just a lowly cog in the machine.
