Also, the big tech bastards haven’t managed to kill off emulation, so that’s encouraging.

LOL
Sounds awesome.
Same.
I actually keep a small amount of TP in my briefcase for when it has to happen.
Might have been a bad idea to just let the bots run rampant on his platform.
This is a great thing.
There need to be material consequences for Nazism.
There is a disenshittified version of google out there, for now at least: udm14.com.
Every time I’ve used it, it’s for info on a home improvement project. Being that my browser blocks ads, they get nothing from my interactions.
Yup.
My last flight a year ago was so bad I’m just going to drive from now on. I don’t care if I have to take an extra day of PTO.
This is the way.
I deleted a year ago and can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used reddit since.
That’s definitely going to be a problem for them, yes, because it’s also going to drive a ton of traffic to Linux and Linux is going to get even better.
Glad to hear it!
For me it’s been hit or miss. I’m fairly tech savvy and able to work through things with the info on Proton DB, but I’ve had several games that just simply weren’t compatible.

Same, doing what I can within my own little slice of the world.
I actually switched to Linux Mint two weeks ago and do 95% of my computing on that OS. (And ANYTHING requiring privacy) I’m a gamer, so I opted for a dual boot, and the only thing I use windows for is playing my games now.
Nice!
I did not, though my facebook is deleted now. I just got sick of how it was making me miserable every time I opened it, so a year ago I nuked it.
I still have an instagram for my business, but once I have Cara up and running, I’m going to delete all the content there as well.
Don’t just sign a petition.
Delete your facebook and instagram.
They say that every election year.
Of course.
I just turn off my socials for a bit and it’s all good.
Yes you can, and should, ignore how crummy the world is sometimes. Outside of the good you can do with your own two hands, there’s nothing you can do to change it unless you’re a billionaire and a legislator will actually take your phone calls.
After watching how similar business practices torched Twitter, I think this dude is underestimating the general public’s commitment to just sail the high seas.
I wish the video were of that crowd bashing that person’s brains in.
