My experience with seeding involves me having 80 or so semi popular torrents seeding 24/7. So that might be why. When my library was smaller or back when I opened my client only to download I barely seeded.
This is exaggerated. I seeded 500gb in the last 3 days and I use mullvad.
Port forwarding is not a strict requirement. The reciever can have open ports, and even if not, NAT hole punching often works.

Different ethical systems presume different things. That aside, I think the most universal thing is to minimise suffering. So it you’re going to fish, there are ways to minimise suffering of catch. It really depends your setup. But obviously the number one thing is do everything in your power to only catch things you will eat. Secondly, when you do catch something, don’t let it asyphixiate slowly to death. You can do a clean cut around the gill arches or the caudal artery. Which will hit the main veines and drop blood pressure to the brain really quick (very very quick death), this is also useful because then the fish bleeds out which prevents blood pooling in the meat from turning it rotten. Some people prefer to stun the fish before any cutting at all, so the first thing they will do, is hit something hard on the fish’s head which will immediately render it unconscious, then cut the arteries.
The whole asphyxiation to death is really the worst because it takes many many minutes and fish go through things like lungs collapsing and blood clotting which bring immense pain before being unconscious.

31·6 days agoI don’t think being poor made me more empathetic. I was always empathetic.
I was just a priviledged fuck that didnt realise how bad it could get. Now that I do, my empathy extends further because I understand how much worse it is than I previously realised.
I don’t think it made me more inherently empathetic though.

Kabul gets about 50 cm of rain a year. That’s low, but well high enough to start to apply water harvesting to collect significant amounts of sustainable drinking water.
I guess the Soviet then US infrastructural inertia doesn’t help. And I’m dubious the Taliban are much use either. Really feel bad for the people of Afghanistan they got fucked over so much.

I think it’s more the kind of person you have to be to get that much wealth in the first place selects for unethical people.
