I think I can answer your question though. Buying a console is a plug and play experience. Building a PC is not. Not everyone has the time, the patience, or the technical experience required to purchase compatible components, assemble the machine, and install the various software.

Anyone that’s ever bought a prepared meal has overpaid in comparison to acquiring the ingredients, prepping them, and cooking the dish. It’s worth the price to do so because I sure as hell don’t want to spend time making a bowl of French onion soup.

In theory, Sponsorblock could evolve to download a new video multiple times, check what frames match each copy, and use that data to skip to the next matching frame when users watch something.

This would overcome video stream ad injection even if every ad was a different length and in a different location each time someone watched the video.

You just know someone in the chain wanted to be able to say, ‘we were the first’, then they got fact checked and had to add in that qualifier of commercially available ground station.

Surely any rational individual already acknowledges that subject as lunacy. The segment of people that after seeing the joke would fall victim to the conspiracy is bound to be smaller than the segment that find it mildly amusing.

Your initial comment here was pointing out that a component of a computer build is as expensive as an entire console. Valid point, though it does ignore that the component you had in mind is superior to what Sony’s put into their machine. It’s not really an apples to apples comparison. More like an apple from the grocery compared to picking a basket of apples from an orchard.

You seem to be pointing out that higher performance per dollar is possible with a high end computer. This is correct.

Anivia on the other hand was only saying that for the same money or less as a Playstation 5 Pro, you can get more performance by spending your dollars on a computer instead of a console. This is correct.

You two seem to be saying the same thing: Sony’s console is overpriced for what it is, and a better experience can be had going with a pc.

Way to move the goal post on your argument.

Strikes me as fishy that the finance ministry went to court with Apple to say ‘no don’t pay tax’.

If they don’t want the tax, have the cheque made out to the EU.

Not exactly related to this article but, I looked this judge up on Ballotpedia, and found this funny little tidbit.

Judge Merchan handed the Trump Organization a $1.6M fine in that tax case a couple years ago. The District Attorney for Manhattan, Alvin Bragg, said:

“While corporations can’t serve jail time, this consequential conviction and sentencing serves as a reminder to corporations and executives that you cannot defraud tax authorities and get away with it.”

What a head of cabbage. As if a couple million dollars is anything to these corporations. These fines need to be double digit percentages of revenue before they get viewed as anything other than a line item on the expense report.

What an invaluable sacrifice. She no doubt saved the lives of multiple children, and her actions will radiate throughout their lifetimes.

This is a contributing factor to why we transitioned from ‘global warming’ to ‘climate change’. It isn’t about getting hotter - it’s about how the effects will be wildly inconsistent across the globe, both in terms of geographic region and severity.

My client crashed twice when trying to add a link in to my comment, and then I’m frustration I neglected to add it when it when I wrote it the third time. I have edited the comment to reflect the fact that it’s a direct quote from a climate denying senator. Apologies.

You are right and I agree with you. I quickly wrote that comment and I doing so failed to get across my sarcastic quoting of Republican senator Ron Johnson. I have edited the comment with the appropriate correction.

If you take a look at geologic time, we’ve had huge climate swings… I think it’s far more likely that it’s just sunspot activity, or something just in the geologic eons of time where we have changes in the climate.

I’m not sure if the last line is condemning bus drivers specifically or individual drivers in general, but either way, it’s a shame so many families have lost loved ones to these accidents.
