Frick no!
But for real though, I suck on the whoppers and let the malt center dissolve. Only downside is sometimes it makes the roof of your mouth raw😂

Happy Halloween! I’ll be working, but enjoy the festivities for me!😎👻🎃
I personally like surprise concert tickets myself
This is so wrong! Love sucking on them Whoppers
A simple combination of Spotify, searching for recommendations, as in “artists similar to _____,” checking out AllMusic for a brief overview and maybe which album to start with.
Just leaving this here:) !godzilla@lemmy.world
Healthcare person here. Same camp!
Some criminal acts you can at least try to understand, but killing and torturing innocent animals is just sick in the head. Glad they were caught and if there are more involved, I hope they’re caught too.
The entire Dinosaur Jr. discography! I’d describe them as lo-fi Gen X indie slacker rock with catchy poppy melodies and imaginative guitar hero solos. They’ve got hardcore roots, so you get some of that with their earlier albums. Great lyrics, never too cliché. One of the few bands I’ve listened to that’s still churning out consistently good albums while maintaining pretty much the same sound through the years.
It’s very slow but biggest one I’ve found is !askmeanything@lemmy.ca. It does have good engagement though when someone posts:)
Similarly, I wanna know what’s the deal with liking sad movies or sad songs! Also I like the horror genre too -obviously being scared is a negative emotion, but it’s like chasing the next high. I just have this appreciation when various art forms are able to arouse these big types of emotions. It’s much better than blandness, which is boring.
I think people just crave feeling alive, and maybe that’s what feeling sad does for some of us?
Btw you might like this Weezer song. It’s a little juvenile in that Weezer way, but the lyrics talk about exactly this! It’s called “All My Favorite Songs” (are slow and sad lol): https://youtu.be/AGPdXYG1msg
Gearing up for Halloween season and really enjoying the creepy vibes wherever they may crop up, including picking out some indie horror games to play. This looks great (and no jump scares are nice hehe). Thanks for the spooky content! :D
P.S. Small detail, but I like how the wall bends at the bottom in the last screenshot.
So I’ve had allergies all my life. Waking up stuffy or sniffling is super common, I don’t even keep track of it. When it’s bad, if I tilt my head back, I’m literally drinking mucus lol (gross). I joke about being allergic to the outdoors, spring time’s bad, and there’s particularly something about the desert that makes my allergies act up. Some of the shrubs out there, sagebrush maybe. And I can get it basically everywhere, even while traveling to other countries, so it seems like I’m allergic to multiple things. My allergy symptoms are pretty much sneezing and sniffling, nothing to do with the throat.
I’ve taken OTC antihistamine meds before. They don’t completely dry me out but it helps a little. They’re not a magical cure, so I actually don’t bother most of the time unless it’s bad and I have something important going on.
I don’t think you’re being a big baby, because it sounds like you just developed this issue? I just deal with it because it’s normal, it’s been going on my whole life, kinda like wearing glasses lol.
Potatoes when cooked then cooled actually greatly lowers the glycemic index, so it’s weird but actually not a bad habit to have!
I went snorkeling in Hawaii last week and got to see the cool fish and turtles! So that was fun.
They absolutely do! Some animals mate for life. Some mourn when one of their own dies (see whales, elephants). Parrots who are lonely may self-mutilate. Dogs can remember you and get so excited to see you, even after being separated for years. Interspecies friendships exist. It’s like… I don’t see how people can still think animals DON’T have emotions.
They just don’t make faces like humans do. Although interestingly, dogs developed eyebrow muscles that give them more human-like expressions, which therefore strengthens our bond with them.
I know I’m not smart because I seem to have trouble retaining and/or recalling information. I’ll understand the concepts then, but fuck me if I try to recall it months later. Also I remember things wrong, my partner (who has an excellent memory) calls me out on it all the time.
