Fixed most of my problems with Nvidia+Wayland. I still have to keep the explicit sync patched Xwayland around until it gets a new release, but other than that it works nearly flawless.

Arch already shipped Plasma 6 for a while. Doesn’t translate directly to Manjaro though, due to their different way of handling updates.

Mint is my favourite beginner distro, can’t really go wrong with it. What’s your main use for your PC (gaming, office, development etc.)? There are some distros that are more well suited for certain tasks.

S is for sync, which installs packages from the repositories. u is for upgrade, which upgrades out-of-date packages. y causes pacman to refresh the package databases. In short, it upgrades all packages that are out of date. It’s a very standard command and not dangerous lol. Btw, with yay just typing in “yay” without -Syu does the same thing, which is convenient
