unfortunately it appears that countries are still aiding the WFP
jeez. it’s a good thing that’s happening somewhere that doesnt destabilize a useful part of the world!
because hating is easy
i’ve noticed that you like to follow me around and make similar comments.
normal… but you can practice drinking and get better at it. a couple years ago after I’d stopped drinking I tried to pick it up again and noticed that I couldnt handle my liquor at all. but through practice and perseverance I was eventually able to enjoy various rums and whiskeys without passing out after 5 or 6 ounces. eventually got tired of it again so now I just enjoy a beer every few weeks.
the media requires people to pay attention to it or they cant sell ad placement. bad news sells better than good news does.
the war in Ukraine is basically at a standstill, no one is going to watch it. media needs a new focus and Israel vs Iranian funded hamas terrorists is the next big thing. in a few months it’ll be something else - it’s just the focus of the “now”.
there’s “feel good” communities out there, but they’re not very active. the active communities are very toxic because they’re arguing about ideologies - tankies, *.ml communists, hamas apologists, and etc vs normal non-insane people. the arguing is why the communities are active.
if you unsubscribe to the active communities you’ll see a lot less negativity - but your feed will be basically static & boring.
liberated through saturation bombardment maybe
and then what? terrorists cant be reprogrammed. just arrest them and then… what?
regrettably they’re closed at this hour
as the global population increases over time, so do deaths. a small conflict like this may not even be statistically significant.
didnt the ancestors of the chicken evolve in the rain forests of/near China? I’m sure there’s latent genes that could express themselves within a few generations - much how domesticated pigs can turn to wild hogs in just a few generations
market yourself as a computer hardware/software repair guy at all of the nursing homes/retirement communities in the area. market it towards your target demographic, using font styles and language that they’d be familiar with in the 1960s - 1980s. be sure to show up clean shaven with a tie. be polite - yes mam/yes sir. charge through the nose.
I bet you could build up a significant dental fund within 6 to 8 months.
i love getting cleansed - so much so that I do it every morning (irish spring is the best soap ever). seriously though - no one here participating in this discussion/argument/whatever has ever been in even the remotest danger of being ethnically cleansed. what we say doesnt matter. you and I, any anyone who views these comments now or in years to come, we dont make policy. our opinion is meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
you say “oh no, it’s bad!”. ok, great. it’s good to have a position. my position is that our positions dont matter. the news doesnt matter. you think policy makers actually care what nonsense the journalists say? queue my endlessly contagious derisive laughter.
if it’s so common that literally every country in recorded history is guilty of it (and they are if the accepted definition is so broad) then it’s just another part of governance - unworthy of discussion even.
eh… using a definition that broad would mean that most asian countries are guilty of ethnic cleansing. a lot of african countries would qualify too, as would many european nations (other than, you know, germany).
is forcing people to go anywhere else actually “ethnically cleansing” though? to me, that terminology is best described as rounding everyone of a certain ethnic background up, shooting them all, burying the bodies, and then moving on to the next group.
this isnt that.
per they article they’re being forced to leave & go anywhere else. that’s not genocide.
they dont do animal testing? weird
