Blows my mind how neglectful parents are when their kids are in swimming pools. Always trying to find someone else to blame rather than their
lazy ass ‘set em up infront of the TV’ parenting style.
And to your earlier point, if you grab or focus too much on one of them you’re just as fucked as if they had gotten ahold of you themselves.
I’m still getting my feet wet with HAOS. Mainly got it for frigate but I’ve been trying to do more and more with it every week and I think I’m way over my head lol. It seems really cool if you know how to make everything work but I’m still trying to figure out so much I end up having to walk away and come back to it later after getting confused. It’s helped a bit to start writing out what I’m trying to do on paper and tinker with things while keeping notes.
No I’m with you and have always kind of wished that’s the direction more EVs would have gone. I have a minivan for all the shit going on with kids and I love it but I have to drive six hundred miles half a dozen times a year so they can visit their mom. A higher range EV that I can refill with gas would be a game changer. Instead I got an electric golf cart that is street legal I use for the majority of my local commuting so I only drive the minivan a few times a week. I was really just being a turd because your first comment said 3 HP and the next one said 5 HP.
Maybe truth is they started talking about doing a car like that and by the time it was ready for production they ended up with a regular ICE car because they nearly doubled the HP of the generator every time the design got reviewed like you are doing now. Before long it will be a tiny 98 HP generator…

7 degrees Fahrenheit would only cost like $20 a month more than what I already pay, if that.
Creating drafts for white papers my boss asks for every week about stupid shit on his mind. Used to take a couple days now it’s done in one day at most and I spend my Friday doing chores and checking on my email and chat every once in a while until I send him the completed version before logging out for the weekend.
I really appreciate your comment but yes, I use frigate on an HAOS system. It works incredible and I have six of their cameras running along with four others from a different brand. The other four I can manipulate completely via Firefox on HAOS. The Reolink cameras just have no other option than doing the initial setup and advanced configurations from windows. So I keep a lab pc connected to that environment just so if I want to tweek anything like fps, resolution, network settings (IP, gateway, etc) that I’m able to do so. The web interface once enabling the https service on the camera has garbage capabilities compared to my other cameras. It’s not a huge deal, I haven’t had to get into them for advanced settings in a few months but it really annoys me that I can’t do initial configuration and advanced settings from Linux.
I’m trying to figure out what to do with my lab workstation. If I want to mess with the settings of my Reolink cameras windows seems to be the only stable option sadly. I’ve tried their android software and it’s garbage. The web interface is very limited after enabling it in the settings via their software. Wine has not worked well for me. It’s an isolated lan so it’s not a huge deal but I really wish there was a Linux build. I love the hardware and don’t want to replace the physical cameras. Just so stupid they won’t support a Linux client.
The list loses a lot of credibility for being all over the damn place. Like metric is already used. My second grader is being introduced to metric and my sixth grader uses it exclusively. Regular ol public schools.
Theirs some good ideas with nonsense sprinkled in and the occasional bullet that makes you wonder if this is an outline for a middle school ELA quarterly assignment.
This is really neat and I’m just hearing about it after over twenty years of development. I need to try it out, thank you. How do you stay in the know about this kind of stuff? I’m curious about all the cool stuff out there I wouldn’t even know I’m curious to find.
My youngest son tore up one of his brothers drawings because he had to get a bath first last night but it doesn’t seem to be reported on anywhere so I can’t fault you for not knowing about it.
