This assumes that everyone is equally politically informed and engaged, and that everyone has given governance as much thought as one another.
The sad reality is a huge portion of people sleepwalk through life and they’d get by the same in a democracy vs. feudalism vs. socialism.

People forget that crashes are a debugging tool indicating an error. Silent errors can be much more dangerous. C and C++ in particular need to be careful not to overwrite random memory for example.
Yes the consequences for JS failures are less severe and so JS can get away with it, but a crash is a way to know your program isn’t doing what you thought it was, properly.
It just so happens that JS is used in contexts where nobody really cares, and errors aren’t a big deal, cheap and fast wins.

There’s no Bidening out of this with aisle reaching foot dragging “let’s move past it” bullshit.
I know my opinion doesn’t matter, but I hope it gives some perspective.

This misinformation about national debt that you unintentionally spread is used by conservatives around the world to deny people services
leftytighty@slrpnk.netto Technology@lemmy.world•AI-driven weather prediction breakthrough reported - The GuardianEnglish11·3 months agoSome people when faced with an overly simple explanation doubt their own understanding and try to see why experts and academics say otherwise.
Others assume they know better than the experts and everyone is an idiot but them.
Maybe you know a lot about a topic, and see others choose one of those paths when questioning your area of expertise.
Which kind of person do you want to be?
I don’t think you’re a bad person, i think you’re falling into the trap of trying to give bigots the benefit of the doubt.
Most bigoted opinions are manufactured by special interest groups, when you realize that you stop caring about what bigots think or empathizing with them.
