Any system beyond a vanilla install will need some tweaks to fit your use case(s). And these tweaks often end up as a stack of glass boxes over time, unless meticulously planned and purpose built from the beginning.
As long as it’s manageable and secure, don’t let “perfect” be the enemy of “operational”.
Wanting to rebuild from scratch is pretty common. The question is whether you need to and should. You have to weigh cost and work hours up against any benefits to figure out the answer.

I’ve contracted covid twice. Both were when visiting the US. And that was before this numpty was in charge. This will not go well.
Their green lineup is fine. But as someone who used to go through multiple drill batteries every day at work, I’ve learned to appreciate the 18V stuff. So when I needed to replace my cheap drill at home, it was a simple choice. And I later bought a circular saw, and it’s nice to have interchangeable batteries and only one charger: All of my tools have their own battery, and I always have one extra in the charger that is good to go when needed.
And bosch
Not at all in itself. But the blue bosch (professional grade, as opposed to the consumer grade green) is generally pretty high quality, so I stick with that lineup for tools that I need beyond the stage where any cheap brand will do.
Spring. No more shoveling snow, and before summer makes it too hot. And it doesn’t come with the sideways rain of autumn.
