18·8 days agoIt’s about preserving the consumption culture for the mainstream. If playing older games for free was easier and legal, more people that now only play the newest AAA garbage would start doing it, and corpos don’t want to risk that culture change, because if it gets big enough it would definitely impact their sales.
Unfortunately not many people know or care about indie games and free games like Beyond All Reason, Shattered Pixel Dungeon, etc. as is.

Unless they store everything in high vacuum and near absolute zero, it’s going to get oxidized and fail eventually. There is no such thing as perpetuity. Might as well give them some use.

Republican officials from 21 states have accused the medical group of violating state consumer protection laws by supporting gender-affirming care for trans youth. More ominously, they’re demanding that the AAP turn over extensive records about how it developed its policy.
That’s the attack, and the care is “puberty blockers and hormone treatment”.

That’s what I thought back in 2007. Now I kinda like the convenience. If they added an option to download the games, like GOG, it’d be perfect.
Steam DRM is a joke anyways and not all games on steam have it, so it wouldn’t be that much of a stretch for them to get rid of it.
The reason I did it like this is because:
- I didn’t know yay could invoke pacman
- I didn’t want yay “upgrading” my pacman packages with AUR packages.
But I was just misunderstanding yay. As another comment said before you, one can just run yay without any arguments and it accomplishes the same thing.
My goodness, falling asleep while you drive is dangerous!
