We know. It wasn’t funny.
When you distribute physical copies of games to stores, I don’t think it’s really practical to prevent physical copies from getting taken inappropriately 100%
5 to 7 honestly. There needs to be more pressure on companies to actually execute on their ideas instead of sitting on them for years
… I suppose I didn’t consider the “regular ol’ computer companies” would be doing other than basic home office machines That’s on me, lol
There is a slightly more expensive family version of NSO that you can add up to 8 users to
Yeah, I am, thanks! Mainly wondering if there is anyone filling the niche of like pre built workstations
I’ll probably just go down the rabbit hole with part picker and try to avoid Amazon
Socks and shoes. I can’t find anything big enough for my clown feet at retail.
Russia has the propaganda machine that got Trump elected. I’d be (pleasantly) surprised if their citizenry was able to meaningfully resist
Not that I disagree with you that they are becoming more prominent, but I think we are also definitely still in the aftermath of ‘election time’
Hives are one of the clearest signs of an allergic reaction. There is basically no normal circumstance where those should occur.
It sounds like there are potentially other factors contributing to your symptoms at home, but the last couple of things happening with dogs in general strongly suggests that you have a dog allergy.
I have to echo other posters here and urge you to see a doctor about testing (if financially viable) and mitigation advice.
There are some instances that lean in specific directions, but there are also several that are kind of just melting pots. For the most part I don’t need to use blocks too frequently, but there are definitely some spaces/users that I find are too hostile that it gets in the way of their intended messaging. But then, that line is going to be different for everybody.
Habits can be built and rebuilt. I’ve known a disappointing amount of people who refuse to use a calendar for reminders out of pride and end up being all over the place in the end.
The lawsuit in question is a civil matter, not a criminal one, but you are correct that that is the case if a state prosecutor does decide to bring criminal charges
Uh, nope, you’re putting words in my mouth. It’s not realistic to worry about mitigating that kind of stuff when we can’t even prevent ourselves from cooking ourselves, and several of the things you listed don’t even have plausible technical solutions right now. Nice try, though.
a planetary catastrophe out of our control
You’re still describing climate change. Science fiction ideas are fun to think about but our own inability to live harmoniously with nature is going to kill us off before any of those problems become relevant.
At the very least they need to invest in server side anti cheat. If that’s not viable they should be obliged to adequately moderate their game.
If you can’t accept business plans that make a little less profit to include sufficient human moderation to avoid heavyhanded kernel level anti cheat - you shouldn’t be in the fucking publishing business, you greedy weasels.
Then that pretty much defeats the purpose of physical media, people will be out in droves angry that they can’t play their new games offline or have to day 1 patch, etc
There’s no perfect solution here.
