Bonus points if they’re the kind of sunglasses with the polarized shades.
Same. I’m the kind that feels they need a back up of somethings. But I don’t need like…10 of them.
I don’t know. Bannings become a silly concept when there are moderators who’re as fragile as sugar glass. It almost blurs the line between “Is this breaking any rules” or “Is this just simply hurting my feelings”.
Reddit is filled to the brim with moderators that just ban under arbitrary reasons. Lemmy is unfortunately becoming up there.
Admitting you don’t know everything is smart.
Continuing to still think you do know everything when you don’t is when you’re dumb by default.
No. And we’re going to have even more tech-illiterate old buffoons in offices where they’ll understand even less technology but they’re great at destroying things. So, they’ll happily line the pockets of ComCast, AT&T, Verizon and they’ll do fuck all to improve customer experience. In fact, if things go their way, they’ll bring back the idea of forcing you to choose whether you want to pay premium for high speed internet including the ridiculous limits already in place. That or they’ll give you the slow-lane subscription while talking down to you about having to pay so little to get so little and their data caps is even more restrictive, never mind how little you’ll be able to actually do on the slow lane.
Isn’t it wonderful?! /s
I prefer TPB AFK. Since all founders were involved in that one. Why make a TV show based on TPB?
I am still so glad that when I lived in KY for a few years, that I helped vote him in during mid-terms.
WWII has been over for almost 80 years. And that era ending with the reputation that America had been carrying since from it, died the day 9/11 happened. Ever since then, America has been struggling, scrambling and trying to come to grips with it’s identity. Something that’s just been treated as just a huge power struggle, a power struggle of extreme petty matters between two parties. But one party in particular that for every election cycle and terms handed to, have been outright sabotaging what it meant to be America.
And it hasn’t gotten any easier. The problem is, is that the candidates of what you seek for a replacement, is very very narrow. There are few superpowers in the world that could do it, the problem is, is that those superpowers are China, Russia and USA. I know there are others and right now if I had to pick a replacement, I’d pick Sweden since they still care about humanitarianism. If we can unite Germany, Sweden and maybe the UK, those combined could replace USA.
Good luck trying to essentially end one of the biggest industries that’s partly in contributing on keeping the country going.
But that’s like what’s already been happening. It’ll just be business as usual.
Which might be a blessing in disguise? I mean, for the ISPs that have been actively fighting corporate interests from telling them what to do. With no governmental branch telling them what to do and not wanting to lose many subscribers lest they risk going out of business, then isn’t that a net positive?
“God damn queers…” They probably think, as they sit their fat old asses on their couches downing their 20th beer can.
Yup. We’re going to have this going on for 4 years.
Racists are going to target Blacks, Hispanics, Asians with racial slurs and more.
Xenophobes will antagonize immigrants and other people of ethnic backgrounds.
Bigots will target LGBTQ as usual.
Yeah, wonderful…
You’ve reminded me about the 2026 primaries. If anything is to go right, it’ll soften the blow of what we’re going to be dealing with between January of next year up until that election. The mid-terms will be interesting and hopefully, some voters will be paying attention enough to make things tolerable.
Elections have strong outcomes, strong repercussions and sometimes strong benefits. Right now, this past election will have sharp and strong repercussions. Your vote is indirectly saying that you’re OKAY with whatever party you chose, to do with as they wish. And what they do with whatever they wish, will affect millions, including you.
So right now, everyone who didn’t vote for the Orange Fascist, are having solid reasons to be worried. They expect a lot of things to be ripped away or outright dismantled, setting the course to potentially have irreversible damages. All because of the collective voter’s choices that wanted the opposing party in.
In an election, I would much people vote to have a voice than abstain and not vote, expecting outcomes to magically work. However, there is a personal responsibility to be had when it comes to voting. That is, whatever comes your way in how people react when they find out who you voted for.
I always seem to lose friends every election, long tenure or short tenure, because of my choices that complicate theirs. It’s unfortunately a thing that’s going to happen. And it may happen to you.
By the way, I’ve failed to mention that it is important to vote, based on what you feel is valuable for the party to focus on. If they ever.
Dude, the guy is going to pardon everything and anyone. He’s going to make the justice a complete joke.
Because of course it fucking did.
Burlington should’ve been the capital.
