Good.
For now, the sector’s focus has shifted back to domestic, Mandarin-language channels and platforms like Bilibili, WeChat, and Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
Wait did I miss something? I thought TikTok was the chinese version of TikTok?
Douyin is the localised version of Tiktok. So, the content is totally different. similar to Steam China and Steam International.
Ooooh. That makes sense.
It used to be much less brainrot and doomscroll filled on their version. When people from the west noticed that they started calling tiktok a form of psychological warfare. I think its almost as bad there now but ofcourse still much more censored.
Fun fact back in the days the same was said about Tetris (though tongue in cheek).
TikTok is banned in China
This has me smiling way harder than it probably should 😆

The company: Rejects the offer and does not want to be acquired

The lawsuit fails

Presumably until Bluesky IPOs there’s nothing he can do to buy it, right?
IPO is public sale on the stock msrket. Private sales are always available.
Bluesky is not truly federated, but is designed for large orgs to be able to host different parts of it. Twitter could start offering its own implementation if they wanted.
